[A few minutes are spent hopelessly trekking around the area, calling for Luke and staring into the water worriedly, and still trying to ring water from her coat and hair.
She barely even has time to turn around at the sound of running footsteps. Clary gasps, eyes widening, heart leaping into her throat in that way that should have been too familiar by now and was still startling every time-- Jace.
For a moment, she freezes in his arms, too shocked to react and too reluctant to pull away. But the thought of Luke floating somewhere in the middle of nothingness is still pressing. Clary realizes belatedly she's been burying her face in Jace's chest and jerks away, hugging her arms around her own body instead.]
Where's Luke? Where are we?
[A pause. She bites her lip, looking somehow furious and hurt at the same time, little hands suddenly pushing at his chest to make him back up. How dare he do this, after what he'd just told her, after all that drivel about 'wanting to be just her brother?' She'd been so worried, but now he's here--wherever in Idris 'here' is--and suddenly she found herself angry that, despite the circumstances, he'd left her behind.]
